5 Shoots in 2 days.

Over the past two days I have had the great fortune to shoot five different amazing models, four of them for the first time! Every shoot went fantastic and I thought I would use this opportunity to thank the models.

First Lianna:
Lianna is so versatile. She looks amazing with no make up right out of bed and she looks amazing with heavy styling and makeup. Lianna has muse written all over her. I have shot her a lot and hope to shoot her a lot more.

This was my first shoot with Nattalie. She got back from working in Paris and managed to not act bugged we were shooting on the porch against a sheet of paper without
lights. She is funny and easy to work with. Nattalie also did probably the best job ever of bringing the kind of clothes I wan
t to shoot. She did bring a friend named "bruce", but you will have to ask her about that. :)

Sydnee likes tattoos and I LOVE to shoot them. She has a beautifully shaped jaw and awesome hair. I often get distracted while trying to shoot and focus instead on trying to make the model laugh. I have never seen anyone so hard break while she is concentrating on posing. Here's to many more shoots worth of trying.

This is Ashlé, or possibly Ashlay, or maybe Asçhleigh. No one can be certain of whi
ch it is but I am fairly certain it rhymes with café. She got covered in chalk and scared almost to death during the course of our shoot but it was totally worth it! Ashlé stayed tough even through Carly whispering creepy things through the vents and pulled off an awesome corpse bride type look. Way to go Ashlé, see you soon.

Josephine was a riot. I think within ten minutes she had threatened to kill me and I totally believed her. She told me if I say anymore she is going to make good on that threat. Needless to say I loved shooting her.

Help!

so I need to make some money, the IRS just let me know I owe $3000 from 3 years ago. Thanks guys. Anyway I am going to try and book some engagements ($250ish and some bridals $450ish) As well as any general portrait/band needs. I am also going to try and sell a few prints of my previous work. If you know anyone interested would you pass along the info? I really appreciate it. Thanks!

70s Retro Shoot.

This is the Gran Debut of my 70s Series. Almost all the clothing is vintage. Just some thoughts on remembering, remembering in a better way, skewing, clashing, living through and just breathing.

not the shoot we planned but awesome nonetheless

Long story short. I had a great idea for a shoot. It didn't work. We improvised. Dani rules. over.

Great Expectations

What a difference it makes so be shooting with such creative people who are so easy to work with. It was my great pleasure to have Paula, Maddie and Rachel with me for this last shoot. The concept evolved as we shot. It got a little creepier the more we talked about shooting in a real haunted house. Enjoy.

Two Blog Posts in Two Days!!

Okay, I normally don't feel compelled to write an essay to go with my photos but I feel there is some info that must be shared. First off: (is that the right punctuation?) Maddie is easily the most fun person I have ever shot. I have shot with lots of great people but this was the most sheer hilarity and joy I have ever had photographing. I had every intention to create my usual serious artistic images and things just turned hilarious within seconds. Second; (i felt like using a semi colon okay, it's on the freaking home row and you never need them) Maddie is a dang good model. Lot's of people are pretty but she gets it, whatever it is. Thirdly/ Let me save you some critique time by telling you I love the lightswitches, ugly shadows, loose wires, paint, garbage and everything else that is in the shots so deal with it. I had such a good time shooting in a totally different way than I usually do. Enjoy or don't enjoy the outcome, I don't care.

PS: I really do care. Please say nice things.
